Bowl Buddy

You've had a terrific time on your vacation or RV adventure but now it's time to face the news at home. Both indoors and outdoors there are things which need your attention. One of the things which will inevitably happen, if you don't have a house watcher visiting at least once a week, is that you will develop ring-around-the-toilet.

Somehow. You left home with a bowl full of crystal clear water and in no time at all it created a dark ring on the bowl at the water line. Now these rings aren't so easy to remove. Sometimes you need to resort to using a pumice stone to scrub the ring away. Well, no more time spent on your knees at the toilet bowl; unless you are un-celebrating a night before.

Bowl Buddy to the rescue. With today's sealed pressure tanks you can no longer drop a chlorine tablet into the holding tank. That method isn't good for the rubber seal on open tanks either. Bowl Buddy uses a chlorine tablet attached to a short nylon string. The string is attached to a length of white tape which affixes to the outside edge of the bowl. Depending on where you place the tape, and on the shape of the toilet bowl, the string length is adjusted at the tape end, and then knotted.

The chlorine tablet floats just a bit below the surface of the water in the bowl. It is perhaps important to pre-think where waste products may end up in the bowl. You don't want to experience a dreadful episode of Tissue-Entanglement.

Our pool room bathroom gets very little use. I discovered a ring and I attached a Bowl Buddy. In a day, or two, the ring will be gone. Rule on Bowl Buddy, rule on.
