Blade Buddy

I was busy with a project when my razor blade holder broke. A bit distraught, I sat down with a glass of wine while I contemplated how I could avoid a trip to the store. It dawned on me. And so, the Blade Buddy came to my shop. I had several blades in the drawer.I used a hacksaw to cut a
tapered slot into the cork. I was careful to not saw through completely at either the top of the cork, or at its bottom end. The blade has notches to keep it in place in its original holder. I drilled a 1/16” hole through the cork where a notch would rest and I pushed a 3/4'” brad through the hole. Using pliers to hold the blade, I slid it into the slot and locked the notch with the
brad. The Blade Buddy can be gently pushed or drawn and the blade stays in place. Now, I need to find a good reason to have another glass of that fine wine.
