The oak is a stately and regal accent to home property. It does come with the same autumn curse common to all deciduous trees: tons of leaves to rake. A feature unique to the oak is the acorn. It takes very little incentive for the acorn to take root where it lands and, once a root digs in, they are the devil to pull out.
I've got a leaf blower to take care of the leaves, but I needed a tool to better handle the hundreds of acorns. Passers by look at me in unusual ways when they see me blowing uncollected acorns down the driveway and into the street.
Retirement idleness and a sunny afternoon were the magic combinations to come up with an acorn solution: The Acorn Buddy is created.
With the Acorn Buddy, I can hurl the unwanted seeds well over 100 feet. I can hit the power transformer on the pole across the street. There are always many birds sitting on the power lines patiently waiting for the Bob to play some dodge acorn with them.
There are too many treasure ideas out there to miss out on the really good ones.
